From the ability to publish desktop content to unlike photos.

Instagram has become one of the most important and growing social networks, with over a billion users and an average of 95 million posts shared every day.
Over time, updates and new tools have allowed this social network to grow continuously, also thanks to its use by generation Z.

Since its inception, with the introduction of videos, the possibility of creating company accounts, the Ig-stories function and ADV, this platform is now almost indispensable for both consumers and brands.

Companies that want to train awerness with their users use Instagram to be able to implement strategies based on One-to-One communication and therefore have direct contact with the target.

Instagram advertising is able to reach an estimated audience of 895 million monthly active users.
A third of the most viewed Stories belong to companies and 200 million users view a Business profile at least once a day.

Posting from desktop

One of the new features that will soon arrive on Instagram is expected by all social media managers in the world: the possibility of being able to upload content even from the Desktop version.

Until now, in fact, posts were shared from the mobile app or only through paid third-party apps such as Hootsuite, Buffer, Agorapulse
A real nuisance for those who worked on the social media strategy who did not have the possibility to program the contents and therefore to have full control over their communication strategy, which Facebook has been offering for several years.

How will it be possible to publish desktop content for Instagram too?
According to various indications, this feature will be made available in Creator Studio, the new platform that Facebook launched a few months ago for post scheduling.

This is still a roll out feature and therefore not yet available to everyone.
Soon, by logging into Creator Studio with your account and connecting your Instagram business profile, you will be able to upload videos and photos for both platforms.

The creation of the Stories will remain for purely Mobile use, but the first step forward has been made!

Bye-bye  likes?

A few weeks ago, Instagram announced the experimentation of a type of visualization that will revolutionize the Social Network.

The new update, already released in Canada, plans to remove the display of the overall number of likes under the published posts.
The data will remain accessible only by the owner of the content, but not for the rest of the users.

The goal is to push the user’s concentration on the content of the post and not on the number of likes, thus removing the value of “popularity indicator”. In fact, Instagram is today one of the social networks that most influences social dynamics, especially among the very young.

For now it is only a test, the likes will be hidden only to a small number of people, selected according to criteria that have not been disclosed.
Feedback from the users involved will be essential for Instagram, which can subsequently decide whether to make this change permanent or not.

If it became official and distributed across all accounts, companies that work with testimonials could encounter various difficulties in measuring the result of their investment.
Strategies and partnerships will have to be questioned, which will also involve the role and activity of the Influencer himself.
