The launch of ChatGPT has helped take many steps forward, especially by creating tools that, through AI, support you and help you generate text and content.
In this article we recommend some AI programs for your business.
However, we should not forget that ChatGPT can create misleading or incorrect content and this leads to penalties from an SEO perspective. The issue of plagiarism also arises when using these tools, because in combining data to provide you with the answer the AI relies on the documents it is trained with and various problems may arise.
It is therefore essential to check the Artificial Intelligence and plagiarism present because:
- It guarantees you the originality of the content, which will therefore be distinctive and unique, consequently it will be appreciated more;
- You check the quality and value of the texts, which will be authentic and reliable;
- Optimise SEO and ensure better SERP ranking;
- Act ethically with respect for each other and academic integrity;
- You comply with legal regulations and do not have to worry about copyright penalties.

AI-produced content can be detected by systems that combine machine learning and natural language processing techniques. The detectors analyse the complexity, predictability and variation of sentences in the text, and thanks to these factors it is possible to understand who the real author is.
Let us look at the two types of text:
- Texts created by Artificial Intelligence: they are often long, predictable and generic, they hardly go into specifics, they are composed of similar sentences of equal or similar length. The overall structure is uniform and we could say ‘ROBOTIC‘!
- Texts created by people: they are dynamic, have a richer and more varied vocabulary, may even contain typing errors and are therefore more spontaneous, less predictable.
The fundamental difference between the two lies in the way they act and process content, ChatGPT combines data and provides a response, whereas the human being understands and reflects, producing critical thinking and his own opinion that shines through in what he creates.
TIPS to detect AI usage
#1 Check the information
Are they updated in real time? Are they valid and proven?
These are the questions you can ask yourself when analysing a piece of content, because as we said, bots are trained on limited data sets that may be incomplete and have incorrect data.

#2 Do a language check
Are the same phrases or expressions repeated? Does it go around the concept expressed, without adding detail and depth?
This happens because ChatGPT is not always able to provide context and is repetitive and generic in its exposition of arguments.
#3 Examine the depth and personality of the content
Is there a human point of view that interprets the theme and provides an opinion? Does the author’s character emerge in the writing?
Texts written by people are ‘warm’, they contain ideas, beliefs and emotions, they show the deep understanding of the topic and the dialogue that has been established between the writer and the topic.
Is the use of AI plagiarism?
There is no precise answer, because it depends on how the bots process the data in response to the prompt entered. It may in fact be that information is fished from various documents and thus the final answer is completely different from the original ones.

However, this is not an absolute truth, to be sure of the work done we suggest some tools that come to your rescue:
- Copyleaks: is 99% accurate, also detects ChatGPT-4 and Bard AI, offers a free-base version for which you don’t need to register and a paid version, subscription gives you access to more extensive features;
- Originality.ai: is 99% accurate, detects ChatGPT, Bard, Paraphrasing and GPT-4, is designed for content creators and seo specialists. The tool is fee-based, but offers several affordable packages depending on the needs.
ChatGPT and the AI tools that support you in writing can be functional if used ethically, avoiding SEO and legal penalties. If you use them as support and a starting point, citing sources and reworking the text, you can rest assured and proceed with your work. To be on the safe side, always check before sharing content!
