Launches Trial Reels, which offers creators the opportunity to test ideas and content before official publication. How does it work?
Trial Reels are initially shown to non-followers, giving creators the chance to test performance by optimising their approach. After 24 hours, insights can be accessed to evaluate the content, and if the data are satisfactory, it can be published or scheduled for automatic publication (after 72 hours).
The news that has been circulating for a few days is that some users see the rectangular Instagram feed (4:5) and no longer square (1:1). We don’t know if the update will actually be introduced but it has already attracted a lot of negative feedback, what do you think?

YouTube
More than a year after its announcement, YouTube has released its new artificial intelligence-based automatic dubbing feature, developed with Google’s Aloud team. The aim is to make videos in foreign languages more accessible, expanding the audience for both viewers and content creators.
The AI system automatically generates audio tracks translated into different languages, and users can choose the dubbing via the settings icon in the player or in the ‘Auto-dubbed’ section in the video description.
Meta
Recently launched its new generative artificial intelligence model, AI Llama 3.3, which promises to revolutionise the industry with high performance and low cost.
This model can be used in a wide range of applications, including virtual assistants, data analysis, content creation and other tasks requiring natural language processing.
Zuckerberg continues to invest heavily in AI: he has announced that the next Llama 4 model will be released as early as 2025 with further improvements and innovations.

X
Grok AI is now also accessible to free users. Unlike in 2023, when it was reserved exclusively for Premium subscribers, the chatbot is now available to everyone free of charge. However, Premium users continue to benefit from unlimited functionality, while there are some limitations for free users.
Spotify
The most anticipated feature of every year was made available on 4 December! We are talking about Spotify Wrapped 2024, the long-awaited annual summary that gives users a personalised overview of their music listening. New features this year include ‘Your Music Evolution’ showing how tastes have changed over the year, while ‘Your Top Artist reimagined’ reveals the most listened to artist.
WhatsApp has introduced new features to improve the call experience:
- You can now select specific participants during a group call without involving all members.
- New effects are available to customise video calls.
- The new Call tab on desktop offers a simple and intuitive interface, allowing you to initiate calls, create invitation links or dial a number directly.
- Video quality has been optimised, providing better resolution on all devices.

Threads
Threads is introducing a major change with the expansion of ‘trending topics’ from five to fifteen main topics, significantly increasing the coverage of relevant events.
In addition, it is testing a new feature that uses AI to generate summaries of the most discussed topics, offering a clear and immediate summary of the most popular conversations. However, it remains an open question how Meta will deal with the challenges related to the reliability of these summaries, as similar errors have already surfaced on other platforms using AI.
LinkedIn’s new video section, powered by artificial intelligence, also debuts in Italy. This new tab will host short vertical videos focused on topics related to the world of work, offering professional insights and insights from different perspectives. Thanks to AI, the experience will be highly customised: the content proposed will increasingly reflect the interests and preferences of users, making it even more targeted and engaging.
