We anticipated it a few months ago but now this novelty becomes reality! After a long testing phase, Instagram officially introduces the ‘dislike’ button. How does it work? Comments that receive too many negative clicks will become less and less visible both in the preview and among the most relevant comments.
You can now read voice messages in DMs: Instagram has introduced automatic transcription of audios, which is useful in noisy or silent environments. In addition, voice messages can last up to five minutes and there is a new ‘Follow All’ function for groups.

WhatsApp has introduced a new voice chat feature for groups of all sizes, allowing real-time audio conversations without initiating a traditional call. To get started, simply swipe up in the group chat and hold for a few seconds; the voice chat will be fixed at the bottom, allowing members to join or leave freely without intrusive notifications.
This feature, similar to a ‘walkie-talkie’, is ideal for spontaneous and quick discussions while maintaining privacy through end-to-end encryption.
Meta
As of 27 May, Meta began using public Facebook and Instagram content – posts, comments, stories and reels – to train its artificial intelligence. Those who wanted to avoid this had to object by 26th, otherwise the data published until then may already have ended up in its systems. But don’t panic: private messages and those of minors remain off-limits. Now, however, everything we publish potentially ‘trains’ Meta AI.

Threads
Just introduced two new features for content creators: you can now insert up to five links in your bio, ideal for promoting newsletters, podcasts or shops without having to use external services such as Linktree.
In addition, there are new weekly analyses showing views, interactions and follower growth, with customised suggestions coming in to optimise your strategies. A nice step forward for those who want to manage everything directly from the app.
Finally, it is possible to create a Threads account without needing Instagram. However, with a standalone account you can only view content and profiles: to post or interact, you still need to connect to Instagram.
TikTok
TikTok launched the ‘Seller Assistant’, an AI assistant integrated into the e-commerce platform to help sellers create effective descriptions, optimise product titles and images, and respond to customer messages. Everything is done directly in the Seller Centre, making shop management easier and more automated, especially for less experienced creators.
Spotify
Spotify has enhanced its DJ AI, now available for Premium users, which selects customised tracks based on your musical tastes. The new feature? You can interact with the DJ via voice commands, asking for example ‘Put on some electronics for a ride’ or ‘Surprise me with something new’.

After almost a decade, Google has updated its iconic ‘G’ logo, introducing a gradual gradient between the colours red, yellow, green and blue, abandoning solid-coloured sections. This redesign, already visible on apps and favicons, reflects the integration of artificial intelligence into the Google ecosystem, in particular the Gemini project.
