Meta
Facebook is following in the footsteps of Instagram by adopting ‘views’ as the main metric for measuring the success of a piece of content. This new approach applies to all formats, including video, text, photos, and more, providing a uniform metric for evaluating performance.
But it doesn’t end there, Meta announced the expansion of the Meta Verified programme, now also available to businesses. This subscription offers exclusive tools to improve the visibility and credibility of your brand. Key benefits include:
- Verification badge: a symbol that confirms the authenticity of your company, helping you stand out and gain trust from new audiences
- Identity theft protection: proactive monitoring to safeguard your business from potential threats
- Links in reels: allows you to add your website directly into reels, simplifying access to information and purchases

TikTok
TikTok revolutionises the music experience on the platform by announcing direct integration with leading streaming services Spotify and Apple Music. With the new ‘Share to TikTok’ function, users will be able to share tracks, albums and playlists directly to their videos with a single click, further enriching the interaction between music and content.
Some important new features for the platform.
First of all, on instagram it will be possible to reset the algorithm to personalise the content experience according to one’s interests, thus starting from scratch.
By resetting the algorithm, content on the feed will be shown as if it were the first time on the platform, without affecting habits and tastes.
Secondly, a change that has caused much discussion concerns featured stories. With the new update, there will no longer be ‘circles’ under the biography but a new section between the profile grid and the reel section.
Jarvis, an autonomous AI designed for Chrome, capable of performing online tasks autonomously, without the need for human intervention, is on the way. This advanced algorithm analyses the content displayed on the screen, processes it and dynamically controls the mouse and keyboard to achieve the goals set by the user.

WhatsApp introduces the ‘Drafts’ function for messages, allowing users to automatically save unsent messages. These ‘incomplete’ texts are highlighted with a green ‘Draft’ label in the chat list, making it easier to retrieve and send them later.
In addition, the ability to transcribe voice messages has been activated, how? Simply hold down on the message and click on ‘Transcribe’.
YouTube
Google is developing new features to make Gemini more useful on YouTube. Soon, users will be able to interact with videos by asking specific questions and receiving detailed answers. A simple tap on a dedicated button will allow you to get clarification or insight into the content you are watching.

X
Radically changed the blocking function, with potential implications for user privacy. With the new update, those who have been blocked will still be able to view public posts, followers and followers of those who blocked them. However, the main limitations remain unchanged: blocked users will not be able to follow, like, reply, share content or send direct messages.
This update, however, may conflict with App Store and Google regulations, which require social networks to offer adequate tools to block harassing users or inappropriate behaviour.
